October 2012: Complex Beauty Paintings and Sketches by Reid Masselink
From 10 October to 17 November 2012 the Galerie Nathalie Motte Masselink presented the exhibition Complex Beauty - Paintings and sketches by Reid Masselink. To be shown were four recent paintings by the artist and a series of sketches in gouache, many of which are preparatory for the paintings in the exhibition.

This catalogue was published to coincide with the exhibition Jean-Claude Naigeon, The Drawings of an Artist in the Age of Enlightenment, held at the gallery from 22 March to 21 April 2012. The forty-six drawings exhibited remained in the family of the artist since his death in 1832. The discovery of these drawings, leading to their exhibition and the publication of a catalogue, enabled the public to evaluate the art and career of Jean-Claude Naigeon, known until now by just a small number of works.

This catalogue was published to coincide with the exhibition Paintings and Drawings from the XVth to the XIXth century held at the gallery from 16 November until 17 December 2011.
May 2011: Bogdan Swider - Landscapes in Black and White
Bogdan Swider's exhibition was held at the gallery from 20 May to 30 June 2011. It focused on Bogdan Swider's drawings. Drawn directly from nature, Swider’s drawings are primarily executed in Japanese ink with bamboo pens and worn out oil painting brushes. The highly gestural drawings testify to Swider’s abstract expressionist training and a feeling for Asian landscape painting. They also point to a wide understanding of the tradition of western European landscape drawing from Leonardo to Giacometti.
